Fuzzy Mug

Fuzzy Mug - 6" x 6" Transparent Watercolor.
I just adore this cute little face. I had to paint it up close and personal.

Here's the progression of this painting...

Michelle... good animal work.. fur is totally believable.

The paper in question (earlier post) is Pentalic 60 lb drawing paper.. formerly a product of Grumbacher. Is fussy.. but will give up some good results if handled right. I'm looking into some other hot press papers to get a similar result. Looks like Pentalic puts out an 80 lb paper.. I just might give that a whirl. Paper I stay away from is anything that absorbs like a sponge. As you no doubt know .. that is a one shot deal.. no mistakes on that stuff.

Thanks William.
I've only tried Hot Pressed paper a couple of times. I couldn't get used to the smooth surface. I'll have to give it another shot. Thanks for the paper info.

You can't expect to paint one of these in one day... but better sooner than the Ron method 3 in 20 years... hee.

Thanks Jelaine!
