Starting from the petal on the bottom left and going counterclockwise, petal by petal. Several layers of color on each.

Hi Carmelina. I'm finding that white flowers are difficult to paint. This magnolia is white on the inside and purple on the outside, so it takes on a pink color when the sun shines through the petals.

Helen, I've read a lot of instruction books and learned how to see things differently. Shapes and colors instead of one whole object. :-)
