Dewy Daisy

"Dewy Daisy", 12" x 12" - Transparent Watercolor
When I went outside the other morning, the sun was shining on the dew covered African Daisies in front of our house. They looked so pretty, I decided to do a (relatively) quick painting of one close-up.

Wow Michelle! This is amazing! ... and this was a quickie? You have an amazing talent! The color and detail just blew me away! Fantastic!

Hi everyone. Thank you for your kind comments. It felt quick compared to the last two paintings that I did. They were large and detailed and took much longer, so it made this one, at twelve inches square, feel pretty quick. Thanks again everyone!

Oh my goodness! That flower looks real and so do the dew drops!..and you did that quick! Whoa! You are full of an abundance of art talent.

I love watercolor media the best, but am really an armature at it. I took 6 beginner watercolor classes at a local high school where they offered classes by an artist a few years ago but know I need more classes. I look at what you do and wonder if I would ever be able to do anything with such realness like you do. Do you have an art degree or have you taken many classes? Or are you self-taught?
I would love to know.
