Illuminated Iridescence Selected for the 2010 Watercolor Competition and Exhibit at the Triton Museum of Art

Illuminated Iridescence, 12" x 12" - Transparent Watercolor

My painting hanging next to Chris Beck's "A Shocking Discovery" painting. I'm happy to be in good company here.

I was delighted to learn that my "Illuminated Iridescence" painting was selected for the 2010 Watercolor Competition and Exhibit at the Triton Museum of Art. The Jurors for the show were Rebecca Schapp, Director of the de Saisset Museum at Santa Clara University, and Art Educator and Watercolor Artist, Karen Frey. The show will be on display at the Triton Museum of Art from December 11th through February 27th.

A beautiful, luminescent painting!! And what an honor! Congratulations!! And how cool is that that it's hanging right next to Chris Beck's painting that is my favorite of hers ever?! Very cool, that's what. :)

I haven't checked your blog for a few days and was surprised not to see your self-portrait. Congratulations and nice work! So is this one a more refined version of the earlier similar painting? From what I can tell online, it seems even more vibrant.

happy new year Michelle.

Connie - Thanks. Yes, it is more refined, bigger and a different angle of one of the same subject I had done several months back. It was so much fun to pain the first one with so many vibrant colors, I wanted to try it on a bigger scale.

Anu - Thank you! Happy New Year to you, too.
